Default Mapping Guitar Zero Controller to GF.

In the long wait for P-A to get new KOCs, I've found myself looking at a dire alternative - Guitar Zero. I don't ever intend to play that horror, so I'll be getting a 3rd party controller - which, I guess, is about the same as the Topway GF controller? And much cheaper.

Anyway, the problem with the song scrolling is the whammy bar, right? So I just crack open the controller, and cut the wire? Or is it something else - please advise.

And finally, what's the mapping for the keys themselves? I note that you have to manually input which key is which, and I don't feel like trial-and-error - I really, REALLY don't like the GFDM options interfaces.

It's not the whammy bar - the actual board (I presume) of the GH controller holds left down so that GH games can recognize it as a GH controller. There's no easy way to fix that. (IIRC, the easiest way would be to rewire the entire controller into a Dual Shock board.)

(Info from Dewgy - see this thread. There was another one with more info, too, but I can't find it ATM ;x )

As for mapping, here's the info from RMZ's FAQ:
Quote:
Button Function
--------------------------------
O Red
Triangle Green
X Blue
D-Pad Up Picking
D-Pad Down Picking
L2 Wailing
And yes, it's a pain to plug/unplug for each stage, but I still had fun playing with the GH controller for a bit. V2 will be a bit glitchy with the picking (songs are still passable), and of course V you can't remap at all, but MPS was pretty much perfect.
