Talking Need Doublestrum technique Tips

Ok just to make thing clear, my down strumming is pretty solid, but my doublestrum skill is lacking... any tips? It is actually good enough to make me survive hyperpicking /keeping lifebar ( I.E I can survive Midnight sun EX but still getting E cause of my dowstrumming).. but i always get mostly goods and such.. that doesnt do good to my scores, i want to improve that

This is my method ( btw i only use double strum for parts with lots of the same notes/chords.. im basically all down strum, except those like for example.. i downtrum all the way on dragon blade EX, but only switch to doublestrum for that really fast part at the middle

Anyway... If the thrills are mid-fast ish i downstrum with my thumb and then i hit it up with my next 2 fingers... if it is faster.. i cant do that and i have to hold the strumbar with my thumb and second finger and pushing it up/down without letting the strum bar go

From what i`ve sent, the first method is the best one ( pushing up and down only using the finger you are using to strum and not holding it on both sides)

Cant use that tech for hyperpicking though... any recommendations for this? i wanna master that technique and from what i`ve seen you guys looks really experienced at this game so i guess you could give me a tip or 2

Thanks.

My advice is to not hold on to the pick. Some videos of advanced players may look like they are holding it, but they are actually not. It's very hard to be accurate when you hold the pick, and also very tiring. Ideally, songs like Dragon Blade, (not the fast shred in the middle), should be alternate picked for the entire song. What I do is put my thumb above the pick, and curl my index underneath the bottom. I then mostly move my wrist up and down, I hardly move my arm at all. This helps to conserve stamina and improve accuracy. Some people use their middle finger instead of their index for the uppicking, it's all personal preference. Start slow, even on a song that you can downpick comfortably for the whole thing. Maybe something like Honjitsu wa Seiten Nari or Tsubasa would be good. Even when you miss a lot of notes, just practice doing alternate for the entire song, you will get it in no time.

Alternate picking can be very blistering at first if you see constant eights at 180-210 BPM but you still need to learn that for 16ths/16th triplet hyperpicking/shreds. I usually follow Pico's alternate picking method where I don't actually hold the pick itself.
