My dreams of a Handsome Jet album being made are gone.

Now I hope Konami does some kind of tribute for him.

Obviously, I guess this would explain the harsh delay for its V4 ps2 release heh.

I am sure now, Konami/Bemani will eventually end the Guitar Freaks series, now that one of their loveable artists is gone.

His style of singing was great, hell even goofy in a hilarious way at times. But, I guess that is the way things go sometimes.

Let's all move on.

See yaz bye.

Sad news indeed. He was indeed one of of the first generation of artists in the GF/DM series (as well as for some other BEMANI series as well). Granted, I enjoyed some of his songs whilst hated others........but nevertheless, he is indeed someone who has dedicated his life to BEMANI throughout the years.

Indeed quite sad for a BEMANI legend like him to see him gone. May he be in peace.

And because Konami is obviously not a soulless corporate entity that exists to milk it's franchises and sue makers of superior products, this will be sure to happen, probably tomorrow, in fact. :\

GFdm makes money and dead Bemani artists don't. Which is the right company decision here?

I don't think Konami's status as a heartless corporation would be the reason for the series continuing without Jet. He was important, but he hardly carried the series by himself. If GFdm ends, it'll be for lack of popularity, not becuase one of their many in-house artists died.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a official tribute, if only because it seems like his family has been trying to avoid drawing attention to his death. Not impossible, I guess.

(It wouldn't suprise me to see a doujin tribute CD, though.)

you know, it would be much more heartless to cancel the series over one guy dying and leave its staff unemployed

I was merely guessing on that one. But its true though, artists like Handsome Jet are hard to find. Because of that, the series might loose its edge or something .

Oh well, I too want the series to continue on, I just hope it will still be as popular.

I really cant think right now lol, but good point though guys.

I am tired.

See yaz bye.

He was without a doubt my favorite singer in GFDM. His energetic songs and music style really fit me well. R.I.P Handsome Jet

Are you serious?
Listen, I love Handsome JET as much as just about anybody here. If there was ANY BEMANI artist I wanted to see record an album next, I can say hands down it was JET. When I heard of his passing, I was whole heatedly struck with grief. It was like if I'd heard, say, someone from Sonic Youth or Bloc Party died. He meant a lot to me and I loved his music.

But listen, I am getting so sick of every time one game gets delayed, one artist leaves or an artists (sadly) dies, there seems to be that one person who think it means the end of the whatever franchise. It doesn't already. Again. It just doesn't.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I'm just saying it's getting very old.
