Talking Putting emotion into your playing

Do you guys love adding emotion to your playing in GF&DM? For me, I'd love to move my head to the beat while playing 180-210 BPM songs; making my hits harder with wider arm movements in breakdowns (especially in the bridge Escape To The Sky); doing some stick twirls before hitting a cymbal note; and, in some cases, tossing my left stick before hitting a snare (especially the 3/4 part of Famires Bomber) in Drummania. BTW, I've seen one player at one mall in our country moving around and sometimes jumping while playing GF and he still nails a wailing combo.

I thought swinging the guitar wildly while playing can be dangerous to others (and potentially to you too)

Hehe on a more serious note, nah I don't do it. It'd look a bit sad since it's not a real guitar (IMO) and plus the arcade/room I play is small.

Well, that guy didn't move beyond the length of the guitar cable. He just sorta move in a radius of two to three steps away from him.

I can't remember what he was called, but there was this japanese player that would literally bring the guitar all the way down to the ground while crouching, and then jump up and slam the guitar way up above his head for every wailing bonus. His favourite songs were destiny lovers and Model DD6, so every time I play them I have to do it too.

Hahahaha, I'm one of the few who actually puts emotion into my playing...even with the GF KOC:

Right On Time [EXP]

Hell, I even dressed up for CaptivAte ~Sabaki~ [BSC], lol.

I've never seen anyone yet who played like Steve Vai (imitating his sensual facial expressions) while playing Over There in GF.

BTW, for all DM players, do you pretend to play double bass if you encountered straight 8th's on the bass pedal at 160+BPM? Agnus Dei and Nemesis are great examples!

Wailing bonus that crosses over into cymbal territory call for nailing bonus in the temple

The things I do aren't really that noticeable... I guess the only one worth mentioning is ripping the fret and fake-wailing after a particularly difficult sequence of notes

I wanna see this.

Yeah, if a song has LOTS of wailing bonuses (like 777 or Luvly, Merry-Go-Round), then yes. I also do it on songs that I think have awesome parts (Show Business had a cool guitar solo, so I keep my guitar in wailing position)

sometimes....
I hit the cymbal from the bottom
sometimes...
I hit the cymbal by placeing the right stick on the cymbal and hitting the right stick with the left stick
sometimes...
I fill in some notes when I am playing drums
sometimes...

and for most of the time....
I look like I am scrambling eggs when I am picking CIB's hyper pick... orz

Whenever I play たいせつなもの I always sing the whole song (even though my Japanese is a bit rusty lol) OR I usually sing other songs that I am familier with .

I am an OK singer, but I need the song to keep me in focus.

lol sometimes I pretend to do that stupid wind-mill technique with the "piking" arm, its stupid lmao.

See yaz bye.

Only on Enrai

Other than that, I wouldn't even bother doing such for all other songs.

I often move my head sideways when playing CaptivAte ~SABAKI~ in DM, following the rhythm.
I also do the middle rhythm of CaptivAte ~SABAKI~ before the song starts.
I stomp on the bass pedal too hard when playing \ShinchoushinTION\ in the chorus, and the last part. I usually follow the mood of the song.
I do 12th drum rolls before Leaving All Behind starts.
I add more snare drums in Kito ni tsugu, particularly how the snare beats sound in the OST.

I just sing.

If it's sing-a-well, that includes clapping >:3
