Default Quick question!

Do you create the music with Guitar Freaks and Drummania as you do in Beatmania? I've never played either of the series and I was just curious cause I was looking into other rhythm games other than what we have in the U. S. This question goes the same for the Pop'n Music series.

As far as I can tell, yes. Though sometimes it seems like if I miss a hit on the drums it will fill itself in (albeit late).

Yep. Like IIDX, you can hear most of the song if you don't hit anything, but the main parts will be faint. In GF/DM, the notes go on top of the background music to pull the main parts out . . . if you play it right, that is.

And yeah, Pop'n is the same as well.

Create music in dm? other than the song Chacha in 7thmix or some parts in Kagonotori from 9th (along with few others), dm merely provides the drum parts. GF of course resembles more of beatmania in music/melodic creation. Pop is just like Beatmania with BishiBashi buttons in place of the keys and minus the turntable.

the thing is that you can freestyle the beat a bit in dm and bm. bm is a little bit harder and a can hurt you a lot. Dm you can fs as much as you want. I mean you could probably get a couple people to smash all the pads at the same time, but i really do not recomend that.
