Request for help with Roland TD-6 MIDI controller for DM

Hi and thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

I purchased a Roland TD-6 today as I have read of others successfully using these and virtually any MIDI drum kit so long as it had MIDI out and the Yamaha UX16 adaptor was used. I have setup the drum kit and verified that it is working in normal playback mode, so the the unit is functional. I cannot seem to get Drummania to recognize it. When I plug the UX16 in, the in-game USB indicator lights up in the controller selection screen, but using the drums does not produce any response in the game. I have tried to advance through the menu using the connected standard PS2 controller then use the drums in game but that does not seem to work either. Can anyone with experience in using MIDI drum kits as inputs to DM give any advice as to what might be wrong or things that I should check?

Are you sure you plugged the midi out plug in the midi in of the unit? (and in in the out of course)

I had the same problem with my drumkit and that was my mistake.

i think you have to set the midi channel to 12 or 13 for it to work
