Konami jumps on the 'band' wagon with Rock Revolution - Joystiq
Okay WTF is this Konami? This looks like someone took the GF/DM formula, and Americanized it. I guess GF/DM and RR will run in parallel in the US somehow?
It's basically Guitar Freaks/DrumMania, with American Music, Guitar Hero style scoring, harder to read notes (WHY CAN'T YOU FLIP AROUND GUITAR TO GO UP LIKE ON GF?!), and charts which look like they were made by someone fired from Neversoft. Just looks like a mess.

Also, it looks like the easier drum charts are almost completely unrelated to the music.

Seriously, a solid and more accessible song list? A more realistic drum setup? A decently polished-looking interface? This is terrible. I mean, who cares if Konami wants to cater to the same masses that helped Harmonix/Activision achieve the kinds of sales figures that Guitar Hero and Rock Band have gathered up with a music simulation game that has not been officially recognized by Konami as part of the Bemani series? That's just unreasonable. And come on, what about the highly-acclaimed Konami Originals? Everyone I've ever seen play Rock Band just bitches that the game lacks The least 100 sec. and Onion Man, because that's what the public really wants!
You people need to listen to yourselves. This is going to be awesome. Now, kindly, shut up.
