Seriously, a solid and more accessible song list? A more realistic drum setup? A decently polished-looking interface? This is terrible. I mean, who cares if Konami wants to cater to the same masses that helped Harmonix/Activision achieve the kinds of sales figures that Guitar Hero and Rock Band have gathered up with a music simulation game that has not been officially recognized by Konami as part of the Bemani series? That's just unreasonable. And come on, what about the highly-acclaimed Konami Originals? Everyone I've ever seen play Rock Band just bitches that the game lacks The least 100 sec. and Onion Man, because that's what the public really wants!
You people need to listen to yourselves. This is going to be awesome. Now, kindly, shut up. | It's apparently being outsourced (check the comments in the headline, I think there's a source there so I'm not just saying that), so it will probably be more like shovelware =/. The drum peripheral looks to be the best out of the 3 US ones by far, but the proof will be in the pudding (that is to say, the charts).

If my eyes aren't deceiving me, that controller has the same small width, if not, smaller, than the Japanese Drummania home controller. If every pad was as big as the center round head, it'd be much better.
On the bright side, it looks like the tops of the heads are the same black foam from the Japanese DM controller instead of thin plastic that feels like hitting eggshells like Rock Band's drum.
I'm curious how hard the notecharts can get with 6 pads + pedal. Quote: |

Betraying your roots, Konami. You've disgraced your family, and are thus exiled to the cold wastlelands where no one has ever returned from.

It's too late, Konami. People are going to claim that you ripped off Activision, despite you guys being the 1st guitar/drum simulator game creators....However, I must admit the drum kit is VERY nice. MUCH better than the Drummania CS controller.
Also, you know WHY I play your music games? The music. You guys have more ORIGINAL music than covers/licensed music & it's GOOD. & with the songlist, I've already lost most interest....This could be a chance to bring over some of the best GF/DM songs. Just put them in the bonus tracks. You could include a bunch of great long songs, like Riff Riff Paradise, Used To Rock & Roll, Riff Riff Orbit, & maybe Jet World (long version). Just put them under, say, the "bonus tracks" section.
I DO like the drums than the RB (I never did like that) drums & obviously the CS Drummania controller. Though the size isn't all that announced yet....Please don't make it DM KOC small...I also like that there's 5 diff., which kinda reminds me of DDR.....though GF/DM has only 3.
& I just noticed something... KONAMI IS ONLY PUBLISHING THE GAME, NOT DEVELOPING IT. ZOE MODE IS MAKING THE 360/PS3, WHILE HB STUDIO IS MAKING THE WII/DS VERSION.

This shouldn't even be a subject to compare with the other music games from BEMANI (mainly GF/DM).

Total Tokens: 70,263.05 Donate Tokens | Pop'n Music will NEVER get brought over here. Why? Simply cuz of how it looks "for little kids"...It's fun (I like it, I have Pop'n 9), but most people won't give it a try mainly due to the graphics & the songlist having almost "OMG NO LICENSES?! FAIL!!11!" Yes, anime themes is also in there, but that might be a licensing issue...
GF/DM SHOULD'VE been brought over here (If it came out near the time the PS2 had been launched, perhaps it would've done well), but since most non-Konami music games HAVE to have licenses be >85% of the songlist, most people wouldn't like it (NOW). Now, it just wouldn't do well since most people wouldn't do any research & just call it a "ripoff"...
BM had some chance because noone else had really done it for the console. Yes, it had some licenses, but it also had songs from the BM games, plus some that were also in DDR.
Face it, America has Activision & Neversoft, & Japan has Konami & Bemani. The GH/RB fanboys overweigh us Bemani fans by a long shot, sadly.

Why did they not just go for a Guitar freaks, and Drummania look, I mean thats THEIR game, they COULD release it in the u.s.
This deserves an epic fail.

YOU FUCKED UP! | Seriously, Konami, stop fucking yourself in the ass. Wow, and I thought the fact that you constantly and intentionally fucking up the non-J AC-based CS DDR release really cemented the notion that you pussy out on AC-perfect ports. Now, with this, you really pussy out on the chance on introducing los pinches Yanquis the Real McCoy, which is GuitarFreaks and DrumMania. Instead of shoving that jackhammer in our asses (which you usually do), you will finally realize how it's like to have that jackhammer up in yours.
Hell, you inspired me to change my career choice from Nursing to Video Game Development, solely for choke jobs like this. Who knows, should luck/fate/destiny allow it, your American--and especially the Japanese--offices will be pissed off, finding out that another publisher will release the rest of Bemani line-up, whether you like it or not.
Also, I don't care if you make a deal with Bill Gates, as long as the product is arcade-perfect (read: NO MISSING SONGS). If you can't do that, you can only blame yourselves.
