Not like the nine-year-old rock games would sell to GH/RB fans anyway. It's either people laughing at the lack of frets, the incompatibility of their Rock Band controllers, or people not liking what they consider "J-Pop".
I don't see how this will sell either, though. It's Rock Band if it was worse in every way.

this game will just fail 100%. i wish they'll cancel it and release gitadora to the US market instead. | |

You have got to be kidding me.

Konami of America has announced that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, planned for a June 12th release, will not be the Metal Gear Solid 4 slated for the Japanese market. Instead, Steel Sprocket Revolution 4: Rifles of our Founding Fathers will be released in its place in the global market. A Konami representative assured the press that, "We're working closely with Konami of Japan to assure that the utmost quality will be provided in this replication."
In SSR4, players take on the role of Revolutionary Snack as he wages war in a dystopian anarchic future against the Steel Sprockets. The game uses the engine from State of Emergency to control the enemy AI and render the playfield, guaranteeing Snack will face breathtaking quantities of crazed shoppers. Also included are powerful new designs, like a second and third trigger button for your weapons which fire guns just like the first button. Network play is also packed to the brim with innovative game modes, like Futuristic Army Team Deathmatch, not found anywhere else (not even Call of Duty 4, a prime competitor in the Online Army-themed FPS market).
Unfortunately, in order to fit all this great content, the game lacks voice communication out of the box, but Konami of America assures that the function will probably be available in a future downloadable content pack. "We have great plans for expanding the longevity of this soon-to-be blockbuster game," our rep informed us.
When questioned about the removal of Metal Gear Solid 4 from the global market, we were quickly interrupted by the sound of our representative promptly sticking his fingers into his ears.

But seriously I think a localized GFDM would sell way better than Rock Revolution.
Why?
There's very few groups who will buy a whole new guitar/drum game.
First: Parents who won't know any better.
Second: People who love them all and obsessively buy everything.
Third: Fans of an existing series.
Group 1 won't be affected by this. Little Timmy will be just as sad about getting Rock Revolution as he would GFDM, because MOMMY I WANTED ROCK BAND/GH4 I'M RUNNING AWAY!!!
Group 2 has far too much money and will therefore be unaffected.
Group 3 however is now insulted by their existing franchise being ignored for shitware, and will not be buying Rock Revolution.
Konami definitely can't usurp GH/RB in the US guitar and drum sim market, but the least they could do is not put out garbage.

It's just sick, I don't know why some competitors think if they throw out some rip off game they made in 5 hours that it will sell millions like the original. (that's probably not the best example) They should have either stuck with GF/DM, a series with at least SOME fanbase already established here than develop a new one fans won't like and will have a hard time competing with not just rock band but GH4.
Maybe it's just me, but the bubble on music games exploded not long after rock band was released. I expect to see a lot of really bad music titles springing up in these parts in the next few years in an attempt to leech off some of Guitar Hero's success. Better move to Japan; I doubt e-amuse will even do very well for GF-DM if it makes (though I'm not in the US i still support it).
