Default Roland on PS2 DrumMania

Ok, so I did a few searches and I can't seem to find anything. I'm interested in playing on the PlayStation 2 versions of DrumMania, but I wasn't sure if you HAVE to use DTX yamaha's for it to work or not. I'm planning on getting the Roland TD-3SW, but I want to know if I can use it with my PS2 or not.

Thanks in advance.

As long as the set is MIDI and you use the Yamaha UX-16 MIDI adapter, it'll work.

It's a common question; you can use ANY MIDI drumset for Drummania, but you need to have the Yamaha UX-16 adapter.

Maybe we should have a general controller discussion thread stickied or something? Could provide general information and then people can ask questions which others can see so they won't be repeated.

Yes this question related to drum kit compatibility has been asked 23478956 times.

To answer all questions regarding drumkits...

All midi drumsets will work on PS2 with the YAMAHA UX 16 adapter. Some examples are Yamaha DTXpress II, III DTXplorer, All roland drumsets will work.

Any non midi USB drumset will NOT work.

If the Roland TD-3SW supports General MIDI and you can map each drum to any note, there's no reason why it shouldn't be able to work.

I wonder if that sweet Roland snare mesh pad could be hooked up to a Yamaha DTX.
