yep, checky was on fire today.

it was a pretty damn high quality day in Vancouver actually: in one arcade we had, by my count, four level 90+ DM players, checky on GF, taka on IIDX and some guy whose name I don't know busting out AAAs on DDR. it was kinda hard to pick who to watch when you weren't playing =)

my achievement: Model DD3 second play clear (C), third level 90 song.

also _nearly_ managed DD5, upgraded a few songs to Bs (don't really remember the details), first play A on some lvl 73 song.

and for laughs I played Daydream for the first time...survived a bit longer than I expected, got to the slow hi-hat / snare break, then died on the subsequent cymbal section.

but, of course, with taka around, everyone else pales into insignificance...today he SSed Toccata and Timepiece (97/3). man, I hate having to play after that guy. =)

I never knew that's what it meant. Most just call it Shin Chou shin TION.

DM:

S Under Control BSC on a sightread; in the same session, I proceeded to fail Panasonic Youth ADV and nearly fail Hitoribocchi ADV, but at least I'm getting better. Repositioned my hi-hat pad down by my snare drum after realizing that I had it up where the crash cymbal would be. I think that was really embarrassing.

DM :
Finally got an A on OniHime[Ext] (Skill 60%)
Already had A on Die Zauberflöte[Ext] (62%) and a few other 90s (I play on Home versions so I have no idea what difficulty they are on DMV3 since there are no arcades in France...)

GF :
I'm having serious problems clearing new songs... these are the hardest I managed do clear :
> 子供の落書き帳 [Ext]
> 赤い鈴 [Ext]
> Under Control [Adv] Bass

I cleared most 80s and I don't get very far in most 90s, it's like there's a huge gap between the 80s and the 90s...does anyone else feel that way?!?

I did 90's before I did 80's. But I can attest that 90's are harder to pass, yes. Try DD5, that was the first 90 I passed. Also, if your not already start playing on Random, that helps enormously with quickly increasing your skill. (I went from 50's to 90's in one month after I switched to Random/7.0x/Position B).
