My main problem could be that I just cannot read with a high speed like x7... I usually use x3 or x3.5 and sometimes x4 but if I make it faster I can't read the double notes correctly and I end up failing miserably...
I'll try DD5 and see how it goes, haven't tried it for a while.

boutch: die zauberflote (dm) is down in the 80s on V3. they downrated it quite a long way from V2 (adv. went from 80s to 70s, ext. went from 90s to 80s).

checky, I guess it's a style difference - I spam a lot more =) when I'm playing level 80+ stuff I generally play maybe 20% more snare and cymbal hits than actually exist in the song, and even more bass. I tend to default to just hitting the bass on every beat and concentrating on reading the drums. So I do better on songs like Cockpit, DD3, and You Can't Do It which have kinda regular beats and are hard mainly because there are a lot of hits and they're fast, and worse on a song like Tamayura whose difficulty comes from odd patterns (I lose more than half the health bar just on the opening snare roll).

GF :
I'm having serious problems clearing new songs... these are the hardest I managed do clear :
> 子供の落書き帳 [Ext]
> 赤い鈴 [Ext]
> Under Control [Adv] Bass

I cleared most 80s and I don't get very far in most 90s, it's like there's a huge gap between the 80s and the 90s...does anyone else feel that way?!?
I passed DD3 first....give it a shot, not so bad

and...
if you're talking about just to pass the song....I think they are as hard...=.=

If you're talking about skill point counting wise...I think the 90s are more easy to count

If you're talking about full combo-ing....80's are much easier

Extended my Model DD collection to two with 7

Also had decent first tries at 2 and 6, dying near the ends, I think I'll make those soon. 6 suits my style quite nicely.

1 poor on Aithon. d'oh.

K - first play 94% A. Pretty fun song.

one I forgot from a previous session - Stop Spinning Me In Circles 93% combo. Got all the way through all the nasty bits, then somehow got a poor on the final extended alternate bass passage. ?!?!?! grah.

Contact lenses and spectacles do make a difference when playing GF...or not.

Model DD4 Bass Ext - Previous Skill% was also 91. Missed the whole chunk at the ending as usual. -.-;;;

Did you win the DM tournament? Were there any good GF players?

k-os: yeah, huge difference! I find it much harder with contacts. The lines blur. I always wear glasses if at all possible for playing DM.

There was no DM tournament. Anyone who was going to enter decided not to because they figured they'd lose. The only other person who would have entered was Kevin (don't know who he is on BMS if he's on here), but that would just be two people. The only good person at GF there was ichibo.

GF MP Gold:

Cleared Concertino in Blue BASS EXT, and in Premium Stage. I got 98/2 full combo on Vitalize EXT on Extra before it.

I still can't beat Mad Blast on OPEN ADV. Going from open notes to 2-fret or 3-fret notes always trips me up.

That's all I remember.

GFV2 AC

Over There EXT RAN - 2% off from the S. Bleh.
Classic Party Revival EXT RAN - 93/4 S

Finally. Now, if I can only S Brazilian Anthem, I will have an S on every Pre-V3 song under 90. But that song just gives me trouble -.-
