Bumping up my Guitarfreaks SP on Masterpiece Silver from ~490 to above 510 isn't too bad since it's been stuck there for months.

Random is quite the nice little tool.

Also I might be getting a free MIDI drumkit sometime soon, but we'll see. Maybe I can start actually playing drummania! :O

Nevermind!

GF V home ver:
SP up from around 790 -> 813. Booya!

Notable first-clears:
Oni Hime BASS EXT - wish it was on regular or open, but I'll take it
The least 100sec BASS ADV - that middle part has a funky finger pattern to it, almost like I'm doing the wave back and forth with the fingers. I never did it right up until now
Model DD3 BASS ADV - did I do this in V2? I don't remember...
Panasonic Youth EXT - fuck yeah

I wish I could get more, it's from a kid I've known since elementary school. His parents are kinda loaded and his dad's in a band, and they don't use the electronic stuff anymore. vv

There were 10 songs in V2 that I could not pass -- now there are 6 (fun night ).

Spellbound RAN - Clear
Hoshi no Kakera RAN- Clear (omg those triples -- I'm proud of this one)
Atalante RAN - I cleared it, bitch!
Sunday Drive RAN- Clear (Easily "wins" the award for worst song ever. It's cleared so I'm never it playing again).

----- Side note:

Mahou no Taruto SRA - 3 misses! Jesus shit. This will probably be the first long song I Full Combo.

There were some more S from 40s and 50s, but meh -- not important.

On an emo note ( ), I figured out Minami Kaze is tougher when it's not on SRA. Those stairs are hard (especially when you go all the way to the left and then return, and then some).

*There might have been other stuff, but I forget*

There are now 6 songs I can't beat on V2, 7 on MPS, haven't counted V yet. My God Timepiece Phase II owns as a song but it's hard as fawk. I last about 20 seconds.

There was a lot more discussion in the previous pages (I went to page 30-ish to look at my first accomplishment threads to feel better about my Guitar Freaks skills (lack of?). My finger -- middle finger to be exact -- is in pain, I played all 3 of my GFDM games today, and gosh darn it, I'm hurt!

Is Classic Party 3 tougher than Timepiece Phase II or Over There or other 90+ Model DD songs? Also, I can't believe I still can't past Little Prayer and Funky Sonic World and Wild Ride -- or TL100Sec BSC! Where would you guys rank TL100Sec? For a 72 basic, it's a little tough lol. I once passed Onihime. I think it's funny that I've passed a 98.

Session Accomplishment(s):

MIcroFin - 1 great away from SS

CP3 vs TPP2 vs CIB vs overthere vs Model DDs vs TL100s (all ext)

- Daydream and CIB. Duh.
- Then CP3. So many sections that can kill you. (however it's comparatively easier to pass IMO)
- Model DD6 Bass. It's 99 for a reason. Nonstop changing.
- TPP2 and FT2MV. The nonstop tappings are hell.
- I dunno how to rank the other 5 DDs (7 not counted) They have their own hard points. Depending on the player. TL100s and over there are stuffed in between.
- Onihime... Is so not 98. The combobreakers are annoying though. it's a high level cuz the streams are insanely long.
- Funky... lies right behind because it's faster but shorter streams. And it doesnt really has any combobreakers though.

Little Prayer... no clue. Depends on how good is your tappings.
Wild Ride is simple... if you use SRA.
TL100s Bsc? no clue.

GF:
Blood and Thunder Ext Open this song sure makes my BLOOD boil and emotions roar like THUNDER.
Model FT2 Ext Open
Model DD4 Ext Bass another fulldown attempt.... [=
gave my nonstops a lil push:
Driving Nonstop Ext Open 3% growth
Topranker ~DM~ Ext Bass combo growth
Wind Nonstop Course Ext Open 3% growth

Damn, oni, you killed my thread when you said "depends on what you're good at"

So... I guess I'll do that

... and start off by saying Classic Party 3 is a mistake -- the ending is pure garbage. Take a look at the high score page -- they should all be SRAs.

Timepiece Phase II - this should be the first 99 you pass. Very high bpm (you'll be double-picking; play BAS version to get a hang of the speed), very technical. Also, notechart differs depending on whether you play OPN or normal -- I find that OPN is MUCH easier to read, but in some ways harder to play. Two very small hyperpicking sections.

Over There - there are two techniques required to play this song: fast switching combined with pretty fast doublepicking, and very fast hyperpicking

Little Prayer - hahahaha unless you have fast fingers... hahahahaa

Wild Ride - This song doesn't count, it's a 73 :p good song to practice your switching on, tho

Concertino in Blue - faster doublepicking sections than Timepiece, more hyperpicking; also a "slower" hyperpick section at the beginning to screw you up... seems this song focuses more on speed, so as long as you just let your fingers do the work, you should be able to do okay... once again, normal and OPN makes quite the difference, as the two notecharts both focus on two different things

The Least 100 Secs - doublepicking is little slower than Timepiece. Only technique you need for this song is switching -- the hyperpick sections aren't big enough to kill you. Watch out for the ending, though

Children's Sketchbook - BAS is good practice for TPII/CIB, as well as normal CS. Normal not only has fast doublepicking, but triplet-hyperpicking... fun! IMO this should be higher than a 92, or w/e its rating is...

Funky Sonic World - if you can keep a good beat, the hyperpicking sections should be no problem for you. The only real hard part about this song is the switching -- the speeds right between downpick and doublepick speed, so it might take some getting used to

Onihime - doubles switching. That's all there is to this song... hyperpick section can be spammed with decent results

Herring Roe - also good practice -- endless doublepicking <3

Cleared Mahou no Taruto EXT and Kaze ni Fukarete Sandogasa Ponta EXT, a 64 and 65. Going by numbers, that's the hardest I've passed yet.

My thoughts and version:

Classic Party 3. Tough shit. Maybe I should play it on SRA -- don't think I'll pass this one for a while.

Timepiece Phase II - this should be the first 99 you pass.

A 99? It's a 94 on MPS..... is it supposed to be a 99? I played today and got 20 seconds farther! I love the song, but I'll be really stoaked the day I can pass it.

Over There - Ummm.... I have NO idea how fast to hyperpick, so that's when I fail the song. A shame because other than that, I can make it to the finaly! Damn, I guess I have to keep playing it and listening to figure out how fast (or slow?) I should be hyperpicking.

Little Prayer - I'll pass this guy sooner or later. It's only an 82.

Wild Ride - This song doesn't count, it's a 73 :p good song to practice your switching on, tho

It's ranked an 88 on V, or maybe I have the title wrong.

Concertino in Blue -
The Least 100 Secs -

lol. These are the two songs I can't pass on their BSC/ADV levels! I'll whore them one day.

Funky Sonic World - I can get to the end, but the switching with the R+G+B and double notes confuse me.

Onihime - doubles switching. That's all there is to this song... hyperpick section can be spammed with decent results

I agree. It's a 98 yet I've passed it before. It wasn't easy, though -- I have to really be "In the zOne."

Herring Roe - also good practice -- endless doublepicking <3

Is this song on V, V2 or MPS?

[quote=aeriyu;242006]Damn, oni, you killed my thread when you said "depends on what you're good at"

Classic Party 3 - it's 98 because it's hard as hell to COMBO not hard to pass though.
There was a reason to why it was only 85 for the past few versions.

Timepiece Phase II is a level 94 prior to V3 and 97 on V3, 99 because it's openpick that we're talking about.
The toughest thing about this song is the first part...the 1,2,1,2 switching last very long, it's not too fast. =.= but it's just long, which makes us lose the beat easily after a while. Once you lose it...it's hard to catch up.

Over There Just watch this is you have problem. =.=/
remember the banging sound when you play it next time.
YouTube - over there (EXT) エクセ

Little Prayer most of the time is that we are switching are fingers too fast.

Wild Ride - Wild ride is a 83 on Open and 79 on guitar.
Hard? not really....should be able to full combo when you reach skill point 1000 on super random.... (REALLY easy when it's on super random)
most people consider this song as a gift actually.

Concertino in Blue - God. whatever. Even top ranker can't full combo...what can I say. The finger switching part is actually faster than Timepiece in some place...(The middle) (but I also think it's easier because it's not a LONG section of it, although each section is crazy)

The Least 100 Secs - Switching. Ending is....absurd.

Funky Sonic World - switching isn't hard. this song is just tiring. The first part...always start with down picking. Down pick when there are no stream and start with a downpick when there IS a stream. That should get you a S.
(But make sure you start with an UP PICK for the really long streaming 75% through the song, and end with a DOWNPICK)

Onihime - 97 my ass. =.= It's tiring. It's REALLY hard to combo...but then... all the other stuff should be bonus.
