Marketplace Rating: 1 | Skill Points I apologize for asking but..could someone explain exactly how the skill point system works?
Obviously, I'm new to the series, and haven't really been able to figure out what goes into calculating Skill Points, or what it's actually measuring.

I believe you said you beat Little Prayer ADV after just 2 weeks? That's around a 54-ish, I think. That's freaking crazy. I still can't pass it on GF 'cuz it has some crazy patterns my brain doesn't like. Did you have experience playing @ the arcades before? That's amazing.

Took me a while in free mode but I got it. I know it's not really that big a deal but I feel pretty accomplished passing my first 70+ within 2 weeks of playing.
| I read it up and it said Drum Mania CS but I thought you play Drum Mania at the arcades?
(by chance were you the guy who S'd some level 40-50 songs on your first couple times fiddling with the arcade??).
And as for skill points, mine just sit around 500 (I think I managed to push to 600 on V2). For Checkrox to have 1,200 and say his are way too low is just "lmao" in my world. I'm guessing I should concern on being able to complete all the songs before I even talk about skill points.
*this post got moved. I wasn't as off topic as it looks*

For something to track your Skillpoints without you creating an Excel file or writing them down somewhere on a piece of paper, you can use the xv-s skillpoint tracker thing.
For a very lousy explanation on how to use that site above, you can refer to the page I made. Yeah, kinda lousy explanation I'd say.
But anyway, Skillpoints basically are based on your Perfect and Combo percentages. More information available in the links above, especially the first.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | about skill points, i think checkrox is referring to 1200 in v3 if I'm not mistaken.
It is MUCH harder to get 1200 skill points in a CS AFAIK.
After playing GF V2 a lot I managed to get around 983 someodd skillpoints, and the only song I haven't passed on regular guitar extreme in that mix is daydream. | |

I was S ranking songs in GF, but have mostly been playing DM now due to the fact that the arcade is like 3 hours from here, and I really don't like using my Guitar Hero controllers x.x Plan on making another trip before too long though. I can't remember what Little Prayer was on guitar..The ADV chart was fun though, was passing it in 2 or 3 tries on Open ADV with my stupid Guitar Hero controller :<
I still can't believe I passed the Drum ADV chart on it, it being a 73. I dunno it's like as I kept playing it a lot of stuff just involving playing in general was coming together and making more sense.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | So I found a few threads about ya, Deca. At Guitar Freaks (which you have only played a few times until you started playing it at home 2 weeks ago), you're already at level 70 songs. As for Drum Mania, you said you're at around level 60, but I think I remember you saying you frequent DM at the arcades. Strange.
Anywho, I still can't clear most level 70 songs at all, and I've been playing for almost 2 months, so to do that in 2 weeks in Guitar Freaks in unbelievable.
And I TOTALLY agree about using the Guitar Hero controller to play GFDM. Switching guitars at the menus is a PAIN. I bought an ASC 'cuz switching the damn guitar every single moment got so annoying.
And Jubrany, thanks for all that When I get to 700 skill points, I will celebrate like a drunk bastard, that I will.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | Heh, I dunno I think I pick up bemani a little faster than most. I beat my first flashing 8 in 2DX within a month of playing..I tend to kind of grind my way through the levels though. Bleh, sounds like I'm bragging now :P
If this goes the same as 2DX, I expect to run into a LOT of trouble around level 95
