Default Thoughts on Yamaha DTXplorer

i found one of these sets at a local music shop for pretty cheap ($495) i was wondering how they hold up? they seem to be very close to what the arcade has for Drummania with an extra cymbal

this set also comes with a bass pedal (unlike the DTXpress III sets i could find under $999) just curious if anyone has used one with or without Drummania i already have my UX16 im just wating some feedback on the set if anyone has any before i purchase this

what r you waitin' for then? its a real arcade controller for drummania as recommended by konami itself beside the DTXpress III
i used to play drummania with my DTXplorer since march this year and works great til now.
Its a great enough for drummania with arcade feel and real drumming with various sound kit. the cons compare to DTXpress III is DTXplorer doesnt have 3 zone snare pad (definitely not needed for drummania) and less sound kit.
but DTXplorer is just great value drum kit and perfect for drummania i think. These are my opinions, hope can help you
ahh, the normal price is bout $850 (which i can say value one for price/quality) and you will get for only $495??? dont think twice, get it!!
hmm is it a brand new one? what a big discount given by that store.

it was a used one but the pads are in good shape, they still respond to rolls
the previous owner traded it in for a roland V set with mesh heads
was hoping this would be a good deal for a christmas present my konami dm controller isnt holding up well on songs that are 70+

compare to DM KOC, hmmm youll throw the KOC away after bought it (my KOC now used as table for Beatmania IIDX controller)

so it was a used one, no doubt the price is so low then.
if the store sell a brand new one, try to compare it with the brand new one and try to play it first. Hope youll find a best one

That price is a steal. Totally go for it if you like DM at all and can spare the money, in my biased opinion.

Damn wish I could get in on a deal like that. I would say go for it of course. Having an official KOC is just not the same in some aspects.
