Default Using a drummania pcb?

hey guys, could any of you direct me to any links on a realistic way of hooking up one of these things to my tv and dtxplorer to play at home? If there is such a way? I cant seem to find anything drummania specific on the net.

thanks

edit: I already have the ps2 versions and stuff hooked up. I was interested in having the arcade version since some of the songs i like to play aren't on the playstation versions. Plus i don't like changing discs so often. haha

They're JAMMA compliant, so I imagine that getting some sort of Supergun will allow you to do it. Do I recommend it? No. I imagine that the sound output will be kind of strange seeing as how the speakers are set up on a DM machine... but best of luck to you if you can do it.

Oh, and you'll probably only manage to get a very early mix to work, as anything past DM10th uses PS2 or PC based hardware, the former being VERY fickle about things and the latter being VERY hard to find for a good price.

I was going to do that, but I lost the auction on ebay. You would need to build a supergun because you would not have controls for the buttons (to scroll through the menu), and you would not have a TV running the game (because arcade monitors have a special refresh rate), and even if you hook it up to a computer monitor, chances are you would be able to make the game playable. Last time I have seen someone do that, they were lucky to get a very muffled screen.

But in theory, with alot of work... its possible to get the game running. Also the drummania PCB does have MIDI input, so its plausible that you can hook up a electric kit (DTXPLORER or DTXPRESS) and be able to use that in the game. I am not sure how the MIDI runs within the game, so I cant help you there.

You should also try DTXmania with the Drummania simfiles. It' a cheaper option.

you can connect you drumkit trough midi plug, so that you won't have input lag.

not to mention its the way cheaper solution. But of course you lose actually owning the game, not that you might care or anything.

I guess you could do that.

Plus besides all the Drummania songs you get, you also get custom songs too.

yes, It will. I had troubles from going to the console to the arcade when it was testing here, and that screwed up my timing quite a bit as well.

yeah, I actually have a dtxplorer and play at home almost every day... when I go to the arcade on weekends I always have to waste credits to get used to the timing, size and distance to the screen, which is a pain in the ass

the arcade setup is not too bad in all honesty, or at least in my opinion. Timing does not take that long if your TV is calibrated good on Drummania, but if you are using DTXMania, you are going to have some problems, especially if you are playing of a TV as a monitor.
