What version should I start with ?

Hi everybody...

After visiting London in December - and trying out Guitar Freaks in Trocadero Center - I really want to bring the experience home...

I hope the new Nyko adapter will let me use the guitar on my Japanese PS3 - and I am planning to get the ASC... but my question is regarding the games....

Which version should I start with ? V... V2... Silver... or should I wait for Gold ?

I don't mind waiting - I just want to get the best game...

If you have some previous experience with the game in the arcade, go take a look at the songlists from the URL that I posted in the other thread and see what you like.

I do, of course, have a HUEG bias against GFDMMS because of the roulette system... but don't let that stop you from considering it ;3

As a game to start with, I definitely wouldn't do it with Masterpiece Silver. If you go with V or V2, I think you'll enjoy it. V2 is probably more beginner friendly, and has a lot of good songs, and I like it a lot actually. But V is awesome too. I'd just get both (I have V, V2 and Masterpiece Silver and I plan on purchasing Masterpiece Gold). Go with V2 since you just started. It has a lot of songs from the arcade that you most likely played as well.

Masterpiece Silver, totally. Gold should be awesome too. After that, I say that V is better than V2.

are you sure the Nyko adapter can solve the controller port problem? its written on konami's site that all music controller (including GF KOC and ASC) isnt compatible with PS3. before buy a new GF controller make sure that can working well on your PS3.
and for the game software i would recommend V2 for beginner since it has lot of easy basic songs and when you get better in, buy masterpiece gold (maybe 2 months is enough to get some experiences while waiting for MPG..)

Well, I hope the Nyko adapter solves the problem - if it works with Guitar Hero, I would imagine that it would work with Guitar Freaks. I have 2 Cobalt Flux platforms - and if they work with the adapter, I think I will go ahead and order the ASC.
