Personally I'll pick it up, although my decision will be really based on the KOC for it and if we get any US licensed songs that are worth playing or haven't been on CS for a long time.
Seeing as I'll have an ASC by then I might even just try getting the game off someone for cheap.

"In 2004, we saw rhythm action games that used a peripheral were extremely popular in Japan and we wanted to bring those styles of game to western audiences. The only problem was that many of these games were specifically targeted toward the Japanese market and included songs from TV shows or anime - something western gamers just wouldn't understand. So, we wanted to create something that would be successful and popular over here."

This might be worth picking up, especially since there's been no confirmation of a third Masterpiece game (I'd be really surprised if there never is though), but there has to be at least a fair number of songs that I don't already have. And it has to work with my current guitar controller.
I also want it to be as far from Guitar Hero as possible. My absolute #1 beef with GH is its incredibly narrow focus. Guitar is far more than just rock, and it's ridiculous to think otherwise. Not only that, GH only has a tiny subset of rock...where's the soft rock, southern rock, folk rock, hair metal, alternative, big beat, goth, etc.? Guitar Revolution, at heart, should be much like Guitar Freaks, i.e. a lot more varied than the monolithic GH. If it's not, I'm not touching it.

However, I thought MP Gold wouldn't be released, so what do I know :/

At least the GF community doesn't have a minority of 13-year olds/Emos/X-Play staff thinking they can play like Allen Collins because they can BS Free Bird on Easy. (like it is pretty much here.)

The Guitar Freaks fanbase have essentially become assholes and elitists since Guitar Hero, especially when V CS was announced.
I would only buy this if drummania was included, because Guitar Freaks is so limited in gameplay (three buttons) I can't fathom how people enjoy it as much as they do.
