Working on GF Covers....

Hey, I'm working on covering some GuitarFreaks songs. I just recently did one here.

I entered it as an alternate in the Dwelling of Duels competition. I'm sure many of you here are musicians and have done covers. I think it would be cool for you to enter this competition, or to share your work in this thread. Also, it would be neat for people to request their favorite GuitarFreaks songs to be covered by me or by the talented musicians that I know are here in this forum. Anyone?

I think this would be a fun and relevant thread. Please don't delete it. Please?

Hi, bjkmenu back here. Thanks for posting this thread! Awesome. I recently did a GuitarFreaks 2nd Mix medley of sorts. It was done for a competition called "Punchfest" where you are given 6 hours to record something.

I wanted to do a song from GF&DM for DoD, but I never really got around to it. I did end up making this though. Enjoy

DZX, very nice. It's funny, I know how to play that song too. I used to play around with Heaven Inside quite a bit. We should collab on a real cover. I guess I'll do vocals, bass, and one guitar solo. You do the rest. Man, those vocal harmonies sound pretty challenging, though.

Sounds fun, but I've been somewhat busy lately so I'm gonna have to pass. Also, I've never collaborated with someone over the net so I'm not even sure how that would work.

Maybe we can collaborate in the future though. It would be nice to have a real bass and vocals in my arrangements.

are you talking about my song, or are you talking about making an entirely new remix of a GF song with drums? I tell you what, if you are a drummer and can record drums somehow, i'll take it and add guitars, bass and keys....

I wouldn't know how to separate the drums you already have on the first one (and am dl'ing the medley as I type), but I'd be down for a remix of a GF song. Not too good a drummer, but I think I could find something serviceable.

ok, can you do a drum track for STAR OF MUSE?

just record it in full, preferably as an mp3 encoded at 192kbps, and send it to me.

On second thought, just make a drum track for whatever song you want and I will try my best to add guitar, bass, and keys to it. maybe vocals? we'll see.
