1) if the controller is USB then the answer is going to be no.
2) If the controller isn't USB then it will be compatible with the new versions of DM. Each pad should represent a different button on the pad. Just do a button config to match the pads to the screen and there you go
Now keep in mind that the GH guitars have the left button held down on the board, this is how GH recognizes a guitar controller. If they do this similar thing for the GH:WT drums, then it's going to be annoying to select songs....you'd have to use a regular controller to select songs, and switch it out after you've select/while it's loading the song

DTXMania on the other hand, might work.

I don't think playing hi-hat / snare rolling stuff would work very well on it, and several reviews of GH:WT itself have remarked on that.
edit: while we're on the peripherals: I'm 99% sure the Ion 'Drum Rocker' kit is useless for DTXMania, as the brain will only send four channels (Rock Band 2 uses software algorithms to guess whether you're hitting the cymbal or drum pad in free play mode). So even though it has more than enough pads for DTXMania, it won't be usable. Shame.
You could of course buy the drum brain to turn it into a real kit and then get the Yamaha midi-USB adapter to turn it BACK into a USB peripheral and then play both DrumMania and DTXMania with it, but that's just as expensive as buying a DTX or DJ Dao, and probably not as good.

Could we potentially use that to play Drummania with it?

My friend get the wii version of Guitar Hero world tour.
The drum kit has only one midi port and we suppose that its a IN port because it's used to calibrate the drumkit with a PC.
So i think we can't plug the drumkit on a PS2 with the UX16 adapter.
Can somedy who own the kit could confirm that??

a. Its midi in, not out
b. I am pretty sure the controller is wireless via USB.
an for whoever said you can move the cymbals, really... no. UNLESS you find a way to extend the chord that connects the cymbals.
