my avatar wont move...why?

hello,
i have been trying to make my avatar move for a while now and its just not happening. i have some animated gifs on my computer that i want to use as one. can anybody help?

oh yeh and would the same process someone might tell me apply to moving signatures too?

Well, first you might need to lower the size down. Our policy is that your avatar needs to be 100 X 100 pixels. If you need someone to do it for you, request that in the Graphic Request thread here on the forums.
