Post numbers

I know I asked this before, but, the numbers 1 through 8 under the username and title, represent the number of posts one has, erm.., posted. I was wondering if anyone knows the exact number of posts you have to do to make them go up? I know its 50 for #1, but than does it continue going up in increments of 50, or is it exponential? (50-100-200-400, etc..)

The most we have so far is exponential, with a 50/100/200/400 setup to get to 4 (and aside from the people with cooler accounts than us, nobody has reached anything above 4 yet.)

Well, my post is over a week old.

And yes, it appears 800 gets you to 5 bars.

Based off of the current trend 6 will probably be 1600 posts, 7 probably 3200 posts, and (if possible) 8 probably 6400 posts. I'm not sure if a non-mod/admin can even reach 8 no matter how much you post though.

Reenee and NVLM_ZK both had over 8,000 posts on 6.0 before The Sex Barn was wiped. However, Forum Boredom, The Third Door, and The Sex Barn no longer increase your postcount, and since a majority of their posts were in those forums, it's still possible, but unlikely.

There are websites, however, such as phpBB.com, with users with over 32,000 posts. They have had the same database for years though.

Depending on how long this incarnation sticks around, we'll have people hit 6400. Already some are nearing (or at? I can't search by postcount) 1000, and the site's only been open for about a month as of today (7/16, yes, I'm not screwing that up? I went by the first "headline" post.)

It would be cool to have an animated flashing level 8 bar under the username and title. After all, it is a .gif file.

And at that time the rating should be upgraded to 12 stars scale =p

Think GaiaOnline. I've seen people with over one million posts.

urgh.. now they go to 12, what does that mean? same thing? 50/100/200/400/800/1600/3200/6400/12800/25600/51200/102400

So far, that is being assumed because no one has achieved those ranks yet. As far as I know, there is no change to the posts required to achieve the lower ranks.
