Default Simfile rating system issue

Well, I just got done rating all the files that I hadn't taken care of over the past year, resulting in about 30 or so files, when I notice that I don't have 100% of my files rated, I only have 95%.

I'm guessing that's a function flaw or something. According to my profile, I've rated all of the sims I've downloaded, so I don't really know how that works with a 95% hit rate.

I think this have to do with your own simfiles that you've downloaded. Since you can't rate them, but you've downloaded them, they do count on the simfile donwload rate, and you can't get rid of that percentage.

After posting this thread, I figured as such, since I sometimes check to make sure that the simfile uploaded properly by clicking the Download link to see if there is a link there or not...and BMS counts that as a download EVEN THOUGH you haven't technically taken it from their server.

If that's the case, that's just a simple addition to the formula. I mean you can throw in ratings to sims you HAVEN'T downloaded and get >100%. You can also create a divide by zero error as well if you've NEVER downloaded a file yet rated one or more, with that logic.

The rating percentile was part of an idea I put forward not incredibly too long ago and this issue was found shortly thereafter... you know, right after I rated everything in my list. I assumed the problem, downloaded one of my songs that I never had to do that with before, and confirmed it.

At the time, Keith said that he had not yet thought of a way to efficiently fix this. Then when the subject was once again brought up a group of mods felt it in their best interest to become hostile / aggressive about it and treat me as though I felt myself to be the most important person alive. I don't remember who it was, or when, and hopefully the thread is not available anymore. However, in that thread something was said about the simfile database moving offsite in the near future and when asked for more details, they were denied saying that what I knew should not have been revealed in the first place.

This is the story, put factual, do what you will with the information
