stupid question about topic

So I made a topic yesterday on another forum and it has already been closed. Can someone tell me what do you think I could have done wrong to get my topic closed. I was told it was in the wrong forum but the forum I posted in said discuss anything so I did, so it really isn't in the wrong forum is it now? There is another forum I guess I could have put it in but it was to late since I already posted it and I don't know how to move a topic.

The main issue, if the topic is the one I recall seeing (and being as I'm not the moderator, so I can't guarantee this is the precise reason) seemed to be that you posted a gaming topic in General Discussion with Other Gaming two forums below it, and also chose something that, depending on the maturity level of various folks (and given that the arguments have broken out in a few SEPERATE threads, it doesn't speak highly of some of us), could turn into an all-out flamewar.

Give it a day or so and you may have a more precise answer, though.
