Bemanistyle’s token system:

When you first join, you will start out with 50 tokens. No more, no less. Unlike on 6.0 when the amount seemed like it was randomized. it’s preset for all members.

You can get tokens by posting in forums. Your post length will determine the amount of tokens you receive. When you edit a post, you will get a fraction of the amount of tokens you normally get for making a new post from an edited post. If you don’t change anything, add very little text, or delete text, you will actually lose a fraction of a whole token. You cannot get tokens if you post in the humor forums such as Forum Boredom, Sex Barn, or Two Doors to the Left.

Deleting your post does not deduct you tokens, and I have found this out from first-hand experience.

People have been taking advantage of spamming walls of text for fast tokens, and it is a bannable offense. I have sacrificed myself to see if spamming walls of text and deleting it can protect you from the mods and banning, and it does not work. If you want to keep your tokens without getting banned, then earn them the fair and square way by not spamming. I also kind of wished I heard about k//eternal’s experience from doing this before Baka ban-hammered me. You better hope that if are caught that it’s by a forgiving admin so you get a second chance.

Back then, every time someone other than you viewed your profile, you got 1 token per look. Ever since it was reported, this feature has been turned off. I have also found this out and (once again) abused it because I must be some sort of idiot.

Making a website Donation now gives you tokens. You get 50 tokens for every $1.00 donated. There is a "Make a Donation" link on the home page of the website, make sure you are logged in when you click it. The tokens will automatically be added to your account after the donation has been completed.

Using the Report Button used to give you tokens, but no longer does.

You can get tokens by uploading simfiles again (one token to be precise). You will also get one token every time someone downloads one of your simfiles.

Responding to polls gives you very few tokens.

No more token rep on the account that there is no more reputation feature.

Token Donating allows you to give tokens to other members. You no longer have to find a post by the user since you can give them tokens right from their profile.

The lottery is a game of luck where you use your tokens to enter for a chance for thousands of tokens. There is a daily lottery which has a winner once a day, and there’s a more expensive weekly which only has one winner each week. The odds are low that you will win, so think about entering before you take this chance.

The Review and Lyrics is a good way to make quick tokens. In the Lyrics, you post translations of Bemani songs in another language that hasn’t been done/seen on the internet before. In the Reviews, you voice your opinion about music simulation games. However, it happens that all the Reviews so far have not been judged or rewarded for as of yet since keying this guide. In the end, a good long review will get you a decent amount anyway.

Some people over at the Graphic Requests forum may offer tokens for requests (drawings, SM bgs and banners, etc.). They can be small (100 tokens) or really large (10000+ tokens) depending on the job and the user.

You can store your tokens in the bank. Everyday, you get a 1.25% interest from the total amount of tokens in the bank. However, you need to log on and go to the bank to collect it, and then it will reset at what time you collect said-tokens. That means you cannot get a weeks-worth of interest when you’re off-line for a week.

Donating $50 to the site gets you 10% off all token related items on the site.

What to do:

Post (don’t spam) (Minimum 5 tokens)
Respond to polls (1 token)
Rating threads (2 tokens)
Write reviews
Gives lyric translations
Donate
Lottery
Bank interest
Upload your own simfiles

What NOT to do:

Spam
Spam and then delete the post (IT DOESN’T PROTECT YOU. THE MODS KNOW IF YOU HAVE SPAMMED AND YOU WILL GET BANNED)
Reporting posts

What you can do, but won’t earn you or lose your tokens:

Lurking
Posting in FB, Sex Barn, and Two doors to the Left
Viewing profiles
Reporting posts

I have not gotten any information involving tokens from anyone on the forum. I have found this out all first-hand (because I didn’t hear about k//eternal’s experience) and by general forum standards. All unexplained information on how to get tokens not mentioned by the rule guidelines or the staff were all found out by myself. If you have something to contribute that is not mentioned, PM me.

P.S. You need at least 3999.60 tokens to receive a daily interest of 50 tokens, and 7999.60 for 100, 79999.6 for 1000, etc. Basically, subtract .4 from the thousand.

I would like to point out that exploiting the token system on this site is not tolerated at all. We understand that there are a few parts to it that can be abused, but be aware that exploiting the token system in any way whatsoever is a bannable offense. We have logs of what goes on with the site, and we will catch the cheaters.

So, if you like the site, and you want to keep your account, don't mess with the token system. Thanks.

Wow.. that was a great help.. all the other "guides" were just 2 or 3 things, but this goes into detail, and says what NOT to do, all the others that i saw didnt! thanks for this very informative guide!

You originally could get 20 tokens for uploading a simfile. This has been turned off until it is reduced to a lower amount. Currently, you get nothing for uploading a file.

I don't quite understand how the interest system works. Does this mean you can't leave your tokens in the bank and let them collect interest, even if you log in every day?

Last time I checked, I had about +4,500 tokens last Monday, then I ended up having +9,000 today. Someone explain how that happened?

EDIT: There it goes again. The tokens doubled for some reason when I checked in today.

All you need to do is log in after the ticker has gone over already, and it'll start again. If you know when the counter ended, then yes, you can just log in daily and keep racking up interest.

It's a good solid two percent. Nothing seems to have altered this at all.

You could leave your tokens in the bank to accumulate interest, and I think using the "Remember Me" checkmark when you log in will make you stay logged in, so you can accumulate the amount of interest from your deposited tokens, even if you're not on the computer at the time of interest collection.

Also, quotes also add towards how much token you will be receiving for each post.
Beware: Unnecessary use of quotes, such as irrelevant quotes or quoting too much on one post will most likely get you in trouble.
