Whats up with my interest?

My bank interest is 1.20 %, and it was at 2% 2 days ago, what happened? i thought it was always gonna be at 2%, is maybe my post count, or reputation? i really would like to know! :'(

Personally, that move was kinda disappointing. I thought it has also something to do with my added rep points.

Hope Keith will revert back to its original interest rate of 2%...

I use my tokens for items in the Media Shop, trying to grab some mp3s before they are gone. My current interest is almost enough to purchase two mp3s.

We lowered it. Interest was giving people too many tokens.

No one is hacking to get tokens, there seems to be some sort of bug where random people just got a ton of tokens. We don't know why it happens but are looking into it.

That is true for people with thousands of tokens, but lowering the interest rate hurts people with less tokens. Would there be a way to have it so that once someone has amassed a certain amount of tokens that the interest rate lowers for only that person to prevent people getting too many tokens?

maybe they can buy a higher interest account with a bunch of tokens (add it to the forum shop). or maybe a higher interest account you can only withdraw once monthly, like a CD or savings account.
