How do you save files to be .Zip?

I want to upload a simfile but i dont know how to but it in .Zip format can someone please help me.?

I got it but how do change the file to a .Zip cause i tried to upload the file but mine was a .smzip and i got a message that said it has to be in .Zip Format

You use winzip to make the file a zip.

If the file is currently an .smzip, even easier: just change the file's ending to .zip instead manually.

If the system is hiding the file's end from you, and I'm going to assume you're on Windows, do the following:

* Open some folder or other
* Tools>Folder Options>View
* Turn "hide extensions for known file types" off.
* Rename the file, delete "sm" from "smzip".
* Turn the aforementioned option on again. Congrats!

The easiest way is: right click > Send To > Compressed (zipped) Folder
If you using Windows XP.

But if not, better get either:

In windows XP, Just right click the folder of the PARTICULAR SONG and choose Send To>Compressed (Zipped) Folder. It will instantly make the zip file.

EDIT: I realized that Jubo just answered that


When using WinRAR, just choose "Add to Archive" and choose ZIP then confirm.

When using WinZip, just choose "Add to [name of folder].zip" and it will make the zip file

WinRAR seems to be best (IMO). It works alot faster than WinZip when it comes to extracting files from a zip and compressing files into a zip.

But 7zip is totally free. Even better.
