Good catch. It is considered standard to have all lower-case extensions, though, so as of now, there's technically nothing wrong with the system, if we're going by standards. Since, if everything followed the established standards, we wouldn't be having this problem. However, there are programs and people who either aren't aware of the standards, or they just don't like to follow them. Whatever.
The problem with just looking at lower case is that there are still a bunch of programs that, by default, stick all-uppercase extensions on the end of saved files. It'd be better to accept those than to tell everyone to fix it themselves. Accommodating defective behavior in other programs is just part of what makes software development so exciting.

Right. We need to address it on the point of "it doesn't work, it needs to work" rather than the point of "well, everyone is supposed to use lowercase extensions, not our fault."

And you're completely right, development is exciting because not everyone really follows the rules. If IE were completely WC3 compliant, we'd be able to kill at least 5 bug threads.

The last few files I uploaded eventually went through(even though the page didn't show any loading, it just turned white), but this latest one I'm uploading includes a video file, and it's larger than usual(~22 MB).

I keep getting either error messages, or a new page with only the 7.0 header at the top and a lot of blank red. Could this just be because I'm trying to use dialup to upload a huge file?

Edit: Never mind, I just realized there ARE size restrictions, and I'm an idiot. I'll try to get the video uploaded some other way.

I will fix the problem with the uppercase .ZIP file extension next week.
