To answer your topic question... here ya go from topic/threat I posted before:

Simfile Filesize Limit

You know who Keith is right? Anyways, its all about bandwidth. You know bandwidth cause money like our internet connection (well some of us...).

If you read more on that thread... They are also making a V.I.P. System, so uncapped filesize when that is created? Its VIP so must contribute something to become one...

---
For your post above... when v7.0 launched, I was pretty dissappointed on this filesize limit thing. So, move on and I just re-encode them like at least 9MB to meet the 10MB (to be exact approx. 10.2MB) or lower depending the size of .mp3 and graphic all together.
Or you can just submit the simfile without the video and upload them somewhere else... Up to you.

You say your simfile is lower then 10MB, but still shows:
Quote:
Maximum file size exceeded. File may be no larger than 10485.76 KB (10485760 bytes).
Double check it by Right Click > Properties and compare the bytes...

If it is lower... then I guess, they lowered the Filesize Limit more lower then what I mention in the quote, not sure... Just wait for admins or mods to confirm that for ya and simfile thing you need to upload.

I have a question about this too.

I have a simfile with a music video that's 27 MB. NOT including music, etc.

Could I upload my simfile on another site, then save that .html document and upload only that .html document in the .zip?

You're best off uploading the video to Rapidshare or some other hosting site, and uploading the rest here with a link to the video in the description and/or readme.
