If not, wouldnt IIDX probably port alot easier to the wii or the x-box?

At the very least, to respound to the original poster, bu the time PS2s are dead and not usable, emulation of the ps2 will have probably caught up in a huge way.


The idea of the last iidx style came up a few times, I dun think since 6th style that has ever come up from an official source...

I think that if Sony stops production of ps2s, AND konami is still making money off of IIDX CS releases, we will see something on a new system. Seems simple... am I looking at this wrong?

Inevitably, all developers will stop making games for the ps2.
So if beatmania does not eventually move to the new gen of consoles, beatmania at home will die.
So i hope that one day it will be on the ps3/360.

Its unlikely any other games company will produce a game like beatmania, so if it doesnt move, that means that this entire style of game will be gone and we have to settle for similar type games like guitar heroes.

And that sucks. If you dont agree that it sucks, then your in the wrong forum.

there is no reason for konami to waste time and money porting popn\iidx\gfdm to xbox369 or any other next-gen platform. they've developed a loyal fanbase who already own the CS releases and official or custom controllers, and the next-gen platforms have basically nothing technologically new that would be needed for better CS releases.

If you guys are hoping that IIDX goes to the 360, you're terribly wrong. Look at the sales for 360's in Japan. I'm sure Konami of Japan & Sony have some bonding going on throughout all their previous games.. Also THEN you guys will have to worry about buying a new controller, none the less needing to pick up ANOTHER 360. Or are 360's region free? Wait, nope.
