Beatmania US bundle @ EB/Gamestop : $29.99

I was at a Coral Springs GS earlier today and they were marking down the bundle to $29.99, after the manager mentioned they had more copies of the game than they know what to do with.

Bad news for the future of BM US probably, but I guess I'll get to try 14k real soon now.

Also, if you don't want to keep the game after getting the second controller, it has a trade-in value of $8, so I guess it's kind of cheaper if you consider that.

Yup, it's been this price for a couple weeks now. Not half bad, if I do say so myself.

For anyone out there who doesn't have an EB or Gamestop anywhere nearby, or can't find the bundle at their's, you can get it for about $43 shipped from Konami's online store, as a last resort:

If my local ebgames or gamestop has the bundle in stock I will definitely be buying one. I've wanted to try 14k for a long time and now I finally can.

A shame that the price is so low in the US yet there is no PAL version.

i saw one at gamestop but didn't get one, i regreted that decision and really need to go back and grab it quick. The bad thing is that I only saw one box

I do believe Target is selling for that price as well. Saw it at Target... would've gotten it, but need to save money for Happy Sky.

This period of time is the BEST time to start IIDX, since the price of starting = $29.99 without JP versions and the hassle of importing. IIDX is now the 2nd cheapest Bemani game to start up on, so take advantage of the cheap prices!

And US will definitely help you sample the fundamentals of IIDX songs with its decent but unfortunately short songlist (40 I think?).

Later on, you'll probably end up using the JP versions which will help bridge the gap between spin the disc Hyper and Nemesis Hyper! You'll see what I mean when you get it...

I also suggest grabbing them asap if you plan on getting a bundle. over the past week i've been seeing a lot of stores not selling bundles anymore. I'm not sure if people bought 'em or they just stopped carrying them, but I'd get one soon.

I saw this when I went to Gamestop a few weeks ago. Definitely got it. Couldn't resist. I think it's a pretty good deal for a second controller. Besides, the $8 trade-in on the game isn't that bad, either.

I will say the controller has it's ups and downs. The main thing is weight. It's too light. It's made of cheap material (hence the inexpensive price). The PCB design isn't that bad, but again, the KOC is superior here. The one thing I liked is the button design. They're just...thicker. Either way, a second controller is a second controller, no matter how long it lasts.

Oh, last thing. Did anyone else notice Play-Asia selling KOCs for $49.90? Pretty tempting, considering the usual price tag on those things (I paid $120 incl. S&H for mine, two years ago).

But still have to pay the $20 for shipping... and I'm not overly thrilled about having keys that will stick because of a design flaw...
