whats the difference between dwi files and sm files? there are some songs on dwi i want to play on sm. for example naruto songs( i love naruto ).

.dwi files are files playable by Dance With Intensity (another DDR simulator). .sm files, in converse, are playable with StepMania. .dwi files are also readable by StepMania along with its .sm files.

Stepmania can read both .sm and .dwi files.
This is ONE of the things which makes SM > DWI IMO

To cut it short,

DWI is short for Dance with intensity

while SM is for STEPMANIA

some tags are similar and some are dedicated to the program. Most of the DWI tags are now used in Stepmania. So there... *lock*
