Exiting Ou of Free Play

I was wondering how I could exit out of free play... I like the idea of playing songs over and over without reaching the stage limit, but free play doesn't allow me to change my options or do anything except play arcade mode! How can I get back to normal play settings? Any help would be EXTREMELY appreciated... If it helps, I have version 3.9.

press F3 untill the word Home Appears. that will return you to the main screen for exiting stepmania.

what you're actually looking for when you get back to Home mode is called Event Mode in Coin Options. This way you get access to the main menu AND can play as many songs as you want.

Press Scroll Lock to show Options,

Coin Options

then choose Home instead of Free Play.

Done.
