Default Frequency of KOC Breaking

After a long journey with DDR SoftPads. I wonder with; How often beatmania KOC break?

I been only playing for a week and the scratch is less stiff, is this bad or good?

EDIT: Just fix the question and few grammar points. I was thinking in Spanish cause Frequency = How Often.

Hahaha.

Do you have US or JP controller?

US controller tend to have electric problem.

JP better, but Key get sticky. Need mod to help fix.

I have the US version, I'm still kind of lost on the responses.

I've had problems with the USA KOC and it just stops responding altogether then 2 seconds later comes back again.

The USA controller has voltage problems which causes things like that to happen.

It broke alot of controllers, and Konami used to fix them. I don't know if they do anymore.

I've never had any problems with the USKOC aside from the TT. A little sticky and wear and tear will break it in and it'll be fine. In my case the keys take a good beating without any problems.

After using my KOC frequently for 2 years with greasy hands it barely works. It can probably last much longer if you take good care of it, clean it on a regular basis, use a good controller mod, etc. Then you won't have to deal with a USKOC like I do! oh well at least I cleared quell on that POS ONE TIME.

My KOC sticks badly, I've tried everything. A light oil helped it for a while, but then it started again

My turntable hasn't been stiff for over 2 years and it works fine. You shouldn't panic until the keys get fucked up.

seizuremania: Use WD40. Oils and Liquid Wrench are short-term solutions.

my USKOC works fine. the turntable was really stiff and hard to move when i bought it. So I opened it, and tryed to push out the turntable (or something, I used a flathead screwdriver, or something to move it in a little) it seemed to work, it did not stick much after that. I have never had any other problems with my USKOC at all, i really only use it to play the Japanese games.... maybe there was a problem with beatmania US I never heard of or something, but mine works fine on all the beatmania games.

Yeah I was thinking of using WD40, but though it would be a bit thin and might run all inside and all over the PCB. I'll give it a try

IIDX KOCs are built to last as opposed to short-lived DDR pads like MadCatz brand. <_<
