How do I get my dancepad to work with my pc?

I just recently got a Red-Octane dancepad that came with a usb cord.
I tried to hook it up, but when I open Stepmania, it responds to my keyboard as it usually would, but it doesn't seem to sense the pad at all.

Anyone know how I can get it working?

You need to set it up at "Config Key" in the Options menu. Select "up" and press the up arrow on your pad. Do the same for the other three. Since there are two extra slots, you can keep the keyboard settings as well if you wish.
