How good is the Xploder HDTV player for IIDX?

I have one of those LCD monitors that lag crazy when playing IIDX and is the thing a decent solution for it? Will the software work on a Japanese PS2? Or should I just stick to playing this game on a good old SD screen?

That won't help much, honestly. Stick with an SDTV, preferably one with a 16:9 option

It's horrible, and a complete waste of money. Not even worth it for the included component cables (that are the cheapest cables I've ever seen... breathing wrong will break them). And no, it won't work on a JP PS2; it's region-locked.

Holding back the fear that this might turn into another damn HDTV thread, if you're in the market for a new TV then make sure you test the screen in the store before purchasing it. I have seen some 16:9 CRT's that need a -4 timing adjustment for CS IIDX games.

Thanks for the answers, I'll stick to my new 13" SDTV that I specifically bought for IIDX/pop'n because I got a new HDTV. Kind moderators, PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD.
