 I think I owe a couple hundred bucks.
When was small, abou the time I was 7-10, my dad wored at a nearby mall. I'd have to tag along wth him when my mom went to work (every day but Sunday) in the summer, and on Saturdays when school started, and I'd wander the mall on my own, exploring and making up games to play on my own while my dad worked.
One of those days, while I was still 7, I went to one of the stands and went into the freezer to take out aGatordae. Wen I brung it up to the counter, the lady there saw and small little asian boy wih big eyes and a mushroom cut, and felt sorry for him and said "It's free." So I walked away with gatorade in hand, money still intact.
Obviously, the woman had not expected me to be a regular, so EVERY day after that when I went, I walked up to the freezer and took out a gatorade and left. If you do the math...(feel free to skip the next paragraph if it's too much)
Gatorade = $2.00 at that place.
1 Gatorade a day, 6 days a week for 8 weeks = about $96, give or take a few days.
That for 3 or 4 years is at LEAST $250 bucks
Plus at LEAST 35 Saturdays during the school year = another $70.
THAT for 3 or 4 years= at LEAST $200
So thats really anywhere between $450-$550 that I owe Gatorade and that stand. I never really thought about this again until a few weeks ago when the memory came back to me. It never occurred to me that I was stealing... |
