oh jeez and here we go again. one of the people who were the first to buy an iphone are so curious they want to see the insides of it. and even worse: smashing it: Curious gadget fans smash, dissect iPhones - Yahoo! News
those smashers need some help. they better get a life.
I've seen the video mentioned in that article (the two guys smashing the iPhone with a hammer and nail) and I have to say I'm disgusted. What a waste of $600+.

My girlfriend's using her's right now as she's on vacation with family.
The only thing I dislike is the oily surface it gets after a certain time of touching it.
If you try to clean it off with your shirt or something, it'll just smear it and make it a more... "defined" smudge.
That and Youtube's function is like only 30% worth it. I don't like how it won't search anything that isn't popular as hell like Charlie the Unicorn or somethin'.
The internet is not even close to being as slow as people say it is. It's a little slower than dsl.

That'll happen on most phones with nice displays (Blackberry, Palm, Sidekick, RAZR and the like). You just have to get a nice cleaning cloth and be gentle when cleaning the display off.

ever seen this youtube video of some guys buying an XBOX (the first one) on the day it came out and then smashing it with a sledge hammer in the parking lot right in front of Target? Yeah those people are definitely need lives. It will always happen with the gadget of the year, im sure that has happened with ps3, xbox360 and wii where people think they can feel above all others by destroying something other people cherish. Really pointless if u ask me.

I got to mess around with one when I was on a trip to the US last week in a Apple store. It's quite the slick little devise but other then a flashy UI, it's lacking a lot of features that other phones in that price range have...

Its nice, I know someone with one. Would I actually buy one. Probably if I didn't already have my Blackberry. I would definately not get rid of my Ipod video for it. It is stupidly intuitive, a co-workers 3yr old son was using it.
