Marketplace Rating: 1 | This phone might look cool, but from an economic standpoint it's not.
First, you pay $600 for the phone. Out of the door you've spend a shitload. Next, you have to spend another $150 dollars for the phone plan with the internet package. The iPhone can't function with the internet package, weak right? Lastly, you spend between another $60 to $100 for accessories like chargers, cases, etc. In the end you've spent $1000+ dollars, only to run into more problems.
When the iPhone was created, it was created for Verizon's network. Why do I know that? My parents work for the company. Anywho, Verizon turned Apple down because they were trying to dictate the terms of service and kept coming up with "irregular" and outrageous terms. So, Apple runs to AT&T who accepts. Unfortunately, AT&T's servers are of a lower grade. These servers are being overloaded with all of the iPhones that are being serviced. That why people are having issues with the iPhone. So, now everyone has purchased a classy, sleek, and sexy $1,000 paperweight. Sweet.....I'll pass on that.

So, now everyone has purchased a classy, sleek, and sexy $1,000 paperweight. Sweet.....I'll pass on that. | Well I did read an article in PC mag basically pissing all over it. One of the biggest issues that stood out to me as a smartphone user. Is the fact that it was not made for 3g tech. I am sure this is chalked up to the fact 3g wireless is a major battery hog. But it is easily solved, by having an option to turn it off. For those who are going what does 3g tech have to do with smartphones. Basically it gives users (mainly blackberry users). Instant updates on emails and AIMs. This is pretty much epic fail in my opinion on Apple's part. The photo quality from what I saw is nice. But it is not worth the loss of 3g. Sure you can get instant updates if you are in a wifi networked area, but everywhere is not wired. And having the benefit of being able to have your emails and aims instantly served to you is a key feature of a "smartphone". So for those of you looking to get a Blackberry quality smartphone get a blackberry, because the iPhone is just a paperweight when it comes to this function. Sure you will look cool with one for about....hmmmm a 2-3months. Then every wannabe "techie" will have one.

I chose a pretty high package and added more text messages and I'm paying $120 after taxes (still less than my WM5 phone on Sprint).

Here's the quality of a picture I took of my bike on a Sony Ericsson D750i, which cost me £130. The quality isn't much different.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Probably, but I still wouldn't get one, purely because it doesn't have half the features that my existing phone does, and it's a third of the price.

This is America we're illiterate.
