Smile Just looking for a little advice.

OK, so I'm having a little trouble stepping this song. The problem is its acapella...

I was just wondering if any of you amazingly awesome steppers could offer a newb such as myself a little advice as of what to do.

I'm not looking to make this a difficult song so keep that in mind. Nothing more than about a 9 footer.

Thanks for taking the time to read

It would help if we knew exactly what your problem is...

Anything you mite be able to think of in order to make a acapella song easier to step...

Maybe this will clear it up. There's no music so there's no beat to follow or step.

There's no music?!

Bear in mind Stepmania is a rhythm-action game that generally involves music. It'd be like buying DDR or ITG or something and muting it the whole time.

I'm not trying to sound nasty, but this probably isn't a great idea...

try matching steps with the vocals (it should, if not, lock this one away), it might be tricky at first but it's up to you if you still want to continue stepping that acapella song. you may have heard of the "cillit bang remix" simfile, download it from ffr (the one i'm talking about is a constant 190 and only oni difficulty) and just observe the way the steps
go with the vocals.

Practice on something like "Don't Worry, Be Happy" to get the rhythms of A Capella down, then move on to the desired song you want to step.

The various Kutimu songs are also a very good start for A Capella stepping. I've stepped a few of those myself.

Try to focus to the area around the steparrows at the top (or bottom) of your screen. If you have some reflexes you should be able to nail it at C400 speed, if not just keep practicing until you do :P

I bet you're having problem to sync it. Use DDReam Studio for best results.

But yeah, not all acapella songs are hell to step. Take this one for example:
bemanistyle.com - #1 In music game coverage - Dance Dance Revolution, Beatmania, IIDX, Guitar Hero, Rock Band

the BPM is pretty much flat.

Thanks for all your help everyone!

I found that the best thing for me to do is try adding notes to the lyrics. I finished the file but I'm still tweaking it a bit. I ask someone for some graphics and I'm still waiting for a reply...

If I ever get it up to snuff than Ill upload it here.

If you wondering (please don't pick on me its supposed to be a joke) what the song is its from the movie Nacho Libre. You mite remember the song "Encarnacion" sung by Jack Black in the locker room before his match.
