Marketplace Rating: 0 | In the news: DDR Death??? Please note that I have no idea whether this is true or not.
The other day, Someone told me that about two weeks ago, a young man (I would assume in his late teens-early twenties) in either Japan or Korea, actually played Dance Dance Revolution in the arcade for (and I kid you not) 30 hours straight! The result... DEATH. Apparently after playing his 30 straight hours of DDR the young man walked off the machine, took a few steps, collapsed of exhaustion, and DIED.
Can anyone confirm this?
When you think about it, I suppose something like this could be possible.
If this is true, this would raise alot of questions:
Was he staying hydrated?
Was he playing nothing but the most difficult songs?
DID THE FOOL BOTHER TO EAT AT ALL???
=/
Once again- Can anyone confirm this?

I'm also only fourteen, so someone in his early-twenties would have to be in really bad shape for that to kill him. Also think about what sort of lawsuit would have occured, and we probably would have heard about that.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | It could be true, but it could be an overexageration of some type. Maybe he was playing DDR, and he tripped, and fell off the machine, and then wacked his head, or something. He thought he was all right so he got up took a few steps, and then collapsed on the floor from some sort of concussion, or something of the other, and later died at the hospital, or something like that...
It's always possible... I guess...

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Yeah..........shouldn't they be WORKING to pay for all those plays?
lets do some us math costs shall we?
$1/ 4 songs 1 song 1:10 - 1:50 so thats about 6 min for 1 dollar .
60m= 1 hor so $10 = 1 hour
multiply that by the 30 hrs of DDr and .........he payed $300 for 30 hrs of DDR?
Just rent out the machine for a day Damn

2. How many arcades are open for 24 hours a day.
3. Even with DDR's lower popularity, I can promise you that someone else would have probably wanted to play.
I'm calling bullshit on this as well.

You can't die from not eating for 30 hours (unless he was anorexic before that)
Chances are he probably wouldn't be able to continue playing if he was dehydrated.
I'm pretty sure you just made this up so we would have something to discuss.

Just shows people how fun to play StarCraft is.

I'm calling bullshit on this as well. | I agree with you, DDR isn't very popular in Japan, even thought that's where it's from... ^^; I was talking to my friend and people think a game like "DDR" is childish. ^^ But here in the US and around the world people are EXTREMELY into it.
