Religion??

Well this is one topic i love to bring up in most forums. Are you a religious person or a spiritual person? Meaning, do you practice or believe any in any of the world's major faiths? or do you have one that's in the minority that you follow?

i'm religious and christian, and i go to church. does anyone else go to church or love Jesus? :3

I don't really think about it that much. I prefer to live my life without caring how life was created, what happened before life, what happens after life, or after the afterlife, or after that, etc.

Buuuut, I guess I could try and explain my thoughts. :3

When asked the question "Well, if god made man, who made god?", I heard a few christians say "Well, god has always existed". I guess I apply the same thinking to life all together, it's always existed. If there was nothing before life, then there was nothing to create life, so I suppose it has just always been here. I have no evidence or proof to back up my beliefs, but that's ok, because like I said, I don't really think or care much about this kinda of stuff. :p

don't you think everything has a sufficient prior cause? we cause and things effect, so something other than life had to have created life.. christianity has been around a long time too but i dont know a lot of my friends don't believe the bible.

Anyways, I am also an Atheist, due to mainly one reason:
The fact that other religions exist.

If the true God were the Christian God, then why are there so many other religions alive? Wouldn't they also be just as possible to be true as the Christian one?

So, even if you prove to me that the Christian God or the Muslim God exists, I still won't believe.

I don't need proof of one religion existing.
I need concrete proof that ALL religions that have ever existed (That includes Greek and Roman gods) except for one are false.
THEN I will believe that one.

It is nearly impossible to argue with a deeply indoctrinated religious person, so what is the point of having this thread? Nobody is going to get converted either way here. We have had too many threads like this in General Discussion as it is, and most of them just result in pointless flame wars. Like the fate of many other threads of this nature, this is getting locked.
