In LA they look like that.
I notice all the chinese restaurants never score higher than a B.

like an A is a health score of 90-100
B is 80 - 89
C is 70 - 79
Anything less than that would only display the score number not a grade
In LA a min of C must be achieved or the restaurant would be shut down.

As a rule, I will eat at B places if I have heard they are worth it from people. C, no.

Rule of Chinese restaurants in LA county...
As authenticity and taste goes up, health grade goes down.
there is not a single non chain/franchies chinese restaraunt that has a grade of A. All chinese restaraunts are B or less
The lowest grade I saw was a 57
This was a black angus in monterey park. They were shut down

Btw, good to know that a restaurant with a B grade often has better food. What about price? If two restaurants have roughly the same menu, would the B restaurant typically be cheaper than the A restaurant?

I was reading the report today and found out why a Cielito Lindo I've enjoyed eating at before was shut down. 9 critical violations...ouch.

And it's the most authentic too! *grumbles* Which is kinda sad in a way...it's like an unwritten rule that if the knives are stored dirty, you know the food's going to be good. The knives are only dirty because they're loved... XD
