Does anyone know a free screen recorders that has a possibility of working on youtube? I've tried fraps, but even then the 30 second trial goes over the limit

People use fraps for making videos for youtube all the time...but you can't just take the raw capture and give it to the site. What fraps creates is a gigantic, uncompressed file that will easily measure several gigs, depending on the length. You'll need to encode it in some way to make it small enough...unfortunately I know next to nothing about such matters. I'd think Divx would be a good option, just off the top of my head...you'll have to look into it a bit.

So any one of those type can work on youtube though to be HIGH QUALITY you need to re-encode it. So, you need video codecs to do so... hot to re-encode? your site for how to video re-encoding: VideoHelp.com I guess so?

Personally, I use CamStudios.Freeware so Google it! And hell, I need to make a guide on how to make work. (It may not work with everyone...)
-The downside to this is... You need you StepMania Video Resolution size below 640x480 (In WINDOW MODE) to play and record audio and video smoothly

-My personal note: YouTube wil or might (assuming the music is "copyrighted") be deleting you StepMania Videos soon Like they did with my stepmania anime videos anyways

I have no webcam or anything that records (maybe a digital camera but crap quality).

So, I just record it from what ever is on the monitor
-Hence StepMania on Windowed mode
