Getting the ITG random movies will be super easy once the PC version is released, and the song packs ripped from the PS2 disc already have the arcade stills and video scripts with them (*.orig files). I don't see a need to dissect and script the heavily compressed PS2 rips.
I corrected the spelling of "kaleidoscope" in all of the file names and scripts I've downloaded. It's not that much work.
As far as keeping the steps up-to-date with DDRUK's packs, my solution has been to never use the .sm files for the scripts in the first place. I open and save all of the songs I have scripts for in StepMania's editor, save them as .sm, and then copy/paste the scripts into the up-to-date .sm files created by StepMania. Tedious, but worth it, IMO. If DDRUK would update their standards to match the present reality of DDR sims, things would be even easier.
Does ANYONE have the file WIND2.AVI? I've checked MMX's pack, Ollec's pack, Beware's pack, and Ollec's BG changes page, and it's not anywhere. The clip is called for in the script for Waiting For Tonight.

If I ever get a chance to, I can write a program in Visual Basic that should be able to do the substitutions automatically.
Another task with this BGChange stuff is to actually identify which games the BGChange script comes from. Amy has been doing this with her scripts, but I wounder if it would be possible to figure out where the scripts on ollec's site came from...

The only time the scripts need to readjusted is if the gap time is changed significantly.
As for Wind2, I'm still searching for that as well. Maybe S2U will have the answer. Quote: |

I've played DDR and worked on BG scripts for a long time so I know what scripts is based in what mix.

Just so that there's actually something there, I put Wind1 in place of Wind2 in the sm file, but I'll switch it back in case the Wind2 file is made or found.

He'll probably slap me or persuade a mod to ban me if I try. I didn't help make the scripts after all.

I thought someone had offered something, or did that fall through? What would be your requirements for a host?

We definitely need a lot of space and bandwidth. Space because of the size and amount of movies we have, which is a lot. Bandwidth because there will be a lot of people downloading at once. Don't want to have to shut down the site just because too many people are downloading at once. That would be a major factor especially with the EX2/Strike/DS Max movies on the way.

Plus, his site is actually from a friend's server so if the site get any legal problems, he can be kicked off.

But I was wondering if there was an actual number, or numerical estimate that anyone had come up with. Oh well, hopefully Terrabull will be able to host it.
