Default Something glitchy?

About a month ago, I downloaded one of the AA simfiles on here. I found that it wasn't what I was looking for after playing it. So, I deleted it.

Then, I tried searching for AA again, and I downloaded it, put it in my Songs folder...all of that doodah.

But when I tried to play it...the old AA's picture preview (The one with the picture and the song name and stuff) came back, and it fades to...fuschia. Also, the music isn't playing in the menu OR when I'm playing the song itself.

I think this goes for my AAA simfile, too...

EDIT: Okay, that's weird...I got the new AA to work by renaming the file in the Songs folder.

(Sorry, I should've used red text, rather than green...The AA that's highlighted is the new one, while the one below it was the old one)

But the old one's still there...and I deleted the simfile off of my computer.

(Yes, I copied it from my other thread...feel free to shoot me.)

I guess...

You just need to Reload Songs / Courses in Option Menu.
- You need to do that everytime when you modified either delete, replace, edited on .sm/.dwi. or moving the simfiles folder... That is you modified it before starting StepMania.
This is only you have Fast Load On

For me that is just annoying... so I turn on Fast Load Off so re-cache the songs and does not happen to that again...

Though it is different story if you are "Live Editing" (editing the .sm/.dwi or graphics with StepMania ON). This you will need to Reload Songs / Courses or Reload from Disk if you are on StepMania Song Editor

If does not work... then something is wrong with that StepMania... (hence clean uninstall it and install again)
- Clean Uninstall is: deleting the StepMania Folder (common place C:/Program Files or C:/Applications or <insert Linux Directory, that I dunno of>)

Jubo's got the right solution there; it's just reading the old data out of the StepMania cache since you put the new simfile in the exact same folder as what the old one was in. A reload will update the cache with the new banner and simfiles.
