Good luck converting an MP3 file which contains SOUND data to a MIDI file which contains NOTATION data. I've seen programs that can take a live recording and try to make MIDI notes out of them but it's terrible at that job.

You're better off listening to the song 3,000 times and putting down the notes yourself.

Depending on what kind of song it is, you could always Google the song's MIDI or Power Tab.

It's easy to MIDI an MP3 file. All it takes is dedication, patience, and listening to the song 500,000 times. Even then, it still won't be spot-on (as I've learned by MIDIfying my favorite MP3s).

Having a musical ear can help. I know people on sax that can hear any song once and they replay it at about 95% the first time around.
