Default Stepmania in a PIU machine?

Hey, with this whole PIU PRO thing going on, I was just thinking about putting stepmania in a PIU cab instead of a DDR cab, and if it has ever been done, or if it is the same process as with a DDR cab (is the hardware/wiring the same, would you need different hardware to connect it to a PC?). Can anyone answer this? Thanks in advance.

A friend showed me a link for a Youtube video of some guys in Mexico that did it. Lemme search for it...

EDIT: found it. Here. Hmm... I've seen that combo counter font something else... xD

newer PIU cabinets are powered by a PC, with a Celeron or a Pentium 4 as the processor.

Can someone translate the warning in the video

...and is this borderline to hacking the PIU cabinet?

Good question, though it'll get you nothing but opinions until agreed upon, best way to think about it though is: Do you consider making a SM machine hacking? If it IS considered hacking on DDR then, yes, yes it is. Otherwise...

STEPMANIA X

Demostrative video of StepMania in a PUMP Arcade machine

Before putting SM, the original game was Pump it Up - Exceed 2.

Now we'll start with SM in an Arcade PIU.
Spanish is my native language, so yeah :3

Why would you play PIU? Seriously, that game sucks so much cock, it's like the fucking cock-king of cock sucking, holy shit it sucks so much cock.

Also, cock.

In actuallity though, PIU is ok. Having played DDR for 6 years though, PIU isn't exactly one of my favorites.

I don't like PumP AS MUCH as DDR/ITG after trying it for a few months, but I hope this changes over tome.

*back on topic*

I doubt that putting a stepmania PC in a machine is "hacking" by any definition of the world.
