And I suppose any animal who even leaves a mark on someone should get the death penalty? It's effing retarded. People who saw Steve Irwin as the arbitrary ambassador of Australia to the US were in for a HUGE-ass risk themselves -chopping tails off of stringrays. Let's see, if one other guy got killed by a stingray, does that mean ten stingrays get killed in his "honor"? I don't think so!

I'm pretty positive Steve would still be alive if he didn't pull out the barb. A rumor is that the very last thing he did before he died is pull it out. He should have remembered his training and left it alone until someone with specialized training on dealing with medical emergencies with aquatic life got to him.
