EDIT: Well, for whatever reason, the immediate crashing has stopped, but now I'm getting that lag, blah, blah. And to add one more thing, wmv files no longer work. yay...

Have you:
Physically abused it?
Overclocked it?
Used an Auto Overclock on it?
Ran something it was CLEARLY not capible of doing for a long time?

I'll swap it out and see what happens.
EDIT: I inserted the original GeForce 5200 that came with this and I ran into the same problem. Something to note: Video plays fine in safe mode with both cards.

Unless it has something to do with the parallel settings, but I'm pretty sure it does not.
EDIT: Could this be a problem with the motherboard battery? For some reason, I updated the bios and then when I went in after restarting the computer, it had reverted back to the older version. When I change settings and go back, things are set back to default. And before you say it, yes, I am saving before I exit.

1. go to radio shack. Get the battery
2. flip the jumper on your board to CMOS Erase (to clear the settings of your bios)
3. Turn the computer on to make that mean something
4. Put the new battery in
5. Start the computer and reset your settings.
There should be an AGP Bus Speed option with either 4x or 8x somewhere. hmm... What bios are you running?

Oh, it's American Megatrends Inc. 3.11, 8/31/2004
SMBIOS version 2.3
(or so says msinfo32)
